On July 1, Minnick’s purchased ecobeco to create a full-service home performance company. By bringing energy audits, air sealing, insulation and HVAC solutions under one roof, we hope to improve customer experience and create more customers for life. Just as Minnick’s is a 2017 Angie’s List Super Service Awards winner, ecobeco has won awards from Houzz and Angie’s List for customer service. With joined forces, the companies look forward to creating the most comfortable, healthy, energy-efficient homes for our customers.

THE PERFECT FIT

Minnick’s has a history steeped in innovation. We’ve been the leader in the Mid-Atlantic in utilizing building science to drive decisions for HVAC design and replacement. We’ve also been one of the first companies in the area to offer customers a “smart maintenance” solution that provides electronic monitoring of HVAC systems. ecobeco has perfected the Home Performance Energy Audit and Quick Home Energy Check-up. “Just the perfect fit,” said ecobeco’s Co-Founder and President Brian Toll. “Minnicks has a long tradition of using building science to diagnose and solve customer comfort and energy issues.” Rob Minnick, President of Minnick’s agreed: “ecobeco’s reputation for quality and technical skill adds a new dimension to Minnick’s whole home approach.” Minnick added, “Brian and Reuven have led the way on integrating indoor air quality into their offerings.”

LEADING THE WAY

Rob Minnick and Reuven Walder will lead the company together. They both hold an extensive list of certifications in building science and leadership roles in trade associations. Rob is on the Board of the Building Performance Institute, Chairs the Home Performance Council of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and is former Chair of the Association of Air Conditioning Professions. Rob is a BPI certified Building Analyst, Envelope, AC/HP, Heating Professional, HEP Auditor, and HEP Quality Controller Inspector. Rob is also a BPI trainer and proctor. Reuven Walder is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, Envelope, Healthy Home Evaluator, and HEP Quality Controller Inspector. He is a NEHA-certified Healthy Home Specialist, member of the Montgomery County Environmental Quality Commission, and Treasurer of the Maryland Building Performance Association.

MERGING OPERATIONS

The ecobeco and Minnick’s brands will continue to operate independently. However, the combined staff will work together and take advantage of the full expertise of ecobeco and Minnick’s to create the most comfortable, healthy, energy-efficient homes.
